Tuesday Mornings

James: Mercy Triumphs

All ladies of the church are invited to participate in the Tuesday morning Ladies’ Bible Study at 9:30 AM. As the year begins, we will use Beth Moore's study on the book of James, James: Mercy Triumphs.

"Bible scholars compare James to the prophet Amos. In other ways James more closely resembles the Book of Proverbs than any New Testament book. Come along with Beth Moore on a journey to get to know both the man and the Book of James. You will never be the same again.

Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer."

James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic.  See how one  glimpse of the resurrected Savior changed him forever, turning him from a skeptic into a believer and a disciple. In the process, learn how you can put your own faith into action and go make a difference.

If you are interested in attending, contact Cindy Kegley or the church office at 912-882-4250. Childcare is provided.

Tuesday Evenings

To Live is Christ

The Tuesday Evening Women's study is on break for the month of February, but will pick up again in March. We are taking orders for Beth Moore's study on the Apostle Paul, To Live is Christ. Our group sessions will bring us together for the opportunity to discuss and share insights.

"In To Live Is Christ, best-selling author Beth Moore travels on a spiritual odyssey through the life of one of Christianity's most fervent journeymen, the apostle Paul, tracing his story from childhood to martyrdom.

Proclaiming his faith as a benchmark in New Testament Scripture, Beth writes, "I have accepted many of Paul’s words as a personal challenge. ‘I want to know Christ’ has become my plea. ‘To live is Christ and to die is gain’ has become my hope. And to borrow his words once more, ‘Not that I have already obtained all this . . . but I press on.’"

Paul’s undying passion for Christ continues to inspire and challenge those with a deep spiritual hunger for the things of God. Readers will be greatly refreshed by the obvious mercy of God that causes those who have failed him to repent and serve him wholeheartedly and effectively."

Our study meets Tuesday nights at 6 PM. The cost for the new book will be approximately $17.

Childcare is provided. Join us!

Participants will need to register by contacting Rachael by email or contact the church office at 912-882-4250.
